Guitarist ANDREW BORDONI To Release Unfriended Album In Early 2010
December 3, 2009, 14 years ago
Illinois-based British guitarist ANDREW BORDONI (EARTHCUBED) will release a new instrumental album in early 2010 on iTunes and most major download retailers.
Says Bordoni, "Many of you know I had been working with the mighty DEJA VU BAND over the past couple of years and it was a blast and a total honor and pleasure to play with such talented musicians and cultivate such great friendships along the way, but alas, all good things have to come to an end and I have parted ways with the band to focus of writing new music and take my playing to the next level.
2 years of playing cover tunes is fun but I felt I my playing was becoming repetitive and needed to break away from that and rebuild my "shredding chops".
2010 is going to b an exciting and fruitful year and I can't wait to present to you the follow up to my Andrew Bordoni & Friends album which will be called Unfriended.
The title is sort of a play of words, one being that I my previous album featured many guests... this time around it's just me handling all guitars and bass along with drummer extraordinaire Todd Sorensen.
The other is dedicated to this online social networking craze which has us all prisoners that we can't seem to get away from and are relying on more and more, day after day (You'll love the album cover!...or not...).
In closing, it is going to be an instrumental shred fest including influences from all of my favorite guitars players from JOE SATRIANI, STEVE VAI, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, STEVE LUKATHER, JOHN SYKES, JOHN NORUM and many others but with my own twist and style.
It is the most technical material I have ever worked on and my fingers are hurting from a 3 hour recording session I did today to finish the song 'Feed The Live Feed'."
Stay tuned for further updates. More on Bordoni here.
