British singer Kvohst (born Mathew McNerney; CODE, DØDHEIMSGARD) has issued the following update:

"I have a new heavy metal/rock club night starting in Helsinki, Finland, next Thursday! I called it Mega Therion which means Great Beast, in homage to Crowley himself, the language of the Greeks, and of course the mighty CELTIC FROST album of the same name!

It will be a regular event every Thursday night at a bar called Friday in downtown Helsinki.

The club nights start officially in January, but we're having a off-off Xmas bash this coming Thursday, December 10th of to get things warmed up! Come down and let us know what bands you want us to book for next year and take advantage of the new low-price drinks menu at the bar!

I will play old '60s, '70s, '80s psychedelic, heavy metal, thrash and most of all rock and roll! It'll be especially eclectic for music freaks and covering a lot of years and styles but you wont hear any modern plastic metal at all! I'll also be showing some old cult movies/classic old gigs on the big screens.

Check out the link to the site if you want to get the address for next week, otherwise keep checking back here for more info on the nights in January where we will have live bands, regular music quiz, vinyl flea-markets etc.

I'll be bringing down a few issues of the mighty Morbid Tales zine from Canada and some Prostata zine from Norway - I'll also bring along some copies of the latest Code cd in case anyone wants to buy one (but I'm not going to be DJ-ing Code music or anything like that) - we should have some zines, shirts and vinyls/CDs for sale regularly starting in January for anyone who's interested."
