Metal-Rules.de's Iron Ingo Stuehrenberg will be guest DJ'ing on Bill Peters' WJCU Metal On Metal program this evening, Friday, December 11th, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM (EST).
Stuehrenberg will be programming the entire 3-hour program, speaking in both German and English to listeners on the popular radio program heard each week around the world. Listen live online at www.wjcu.org or 88.7 FM in the Northeast Ohio area.
Stuehrenberg is a well-known writer in the German heavy metal underground. He has traveled from Germany to Cleveland to MC and review the Auburn Records 25th Anniversary Concert on December 12th, 2009 at the Beachland Ballroom for Metal-Rules.de.
Scheduled to perform are DESTRUCTOR, BREAKER, SHOK PARIS, MANIMALS, FOOSE, WRETCH, ATTAXE, ETERNAL LEGACY, H.A.T.E., SOULLESS and ALTERNATE REALITY. Metal-Rules.de and The Exchange are co-sponsoring the event.
Stuehrenberg is enjoying his first time 17-day stay in Cleveland, Ohio with many different activities - a Cleveland Browns football game, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game, visiting local record shoppes, a trip to nearby Niagara Falls and most importantly, having a chance to visit the practice sessions of many of the bands performing at the anniversary concert. He even rode a bike 14km by himself in 20 degree, snowy weather to take in the surrounding regional area and interact with the locals.
"I enjoy it a lot to be in Cleveland. It is amazing for me as a metal fan to be in the city that influenced the underground heavy metal scene worldwide, and especially in Germany, so much", says Stuehrenberg. "I am very much looking forward to hosting the radio program with Bill (Peters) and attending the concert. My friends and family will be listening back home in Germany. I am sure the concert will be yet another big step of heavy metal history for Cleveland. I am thrilled and honored to be accepted as part of the Cleveland metal family. Everyone has been so nice. This is an incredible scene they have here in Cleveland and it has lived up to all my expectations."The Cleveland Plain Dealer's December 11th, 2009 edition and Cleveland Scene Magazine's December 9th, 2009 issue include feature stories written by John Petkovic and legendary rock journalist Anastasia Pantsios respectively about Stuehrenberg's visit and the Auburn Records 25th Anniversary Concert.
