Finnish modern thrash/death influenced metal band DEAD SHAPE FIGURE have issued the following update:

"Dead Shape Figure singer Galzi Kallio has released a poetry book.

The debut-work is called Loppusäkeet and it's based on DSF's debut album The Grand Karoshi's lyrics. The lyrics have been translated into Finnish and arranged to serve the poetic form.

Commented Galzi: "Writing in Finnish was a huge challenge for me. With the support from my spiritual mentors Panu Tuomi and Jussi Parviainen, the project had its final form."

You can order the book from Dynamic Arts webshop, straight from Galzi at loppusakeet@gmail.com or from well equipped book stores in Finland!"

Dead Shape Figure recently signed a recording deal with Dynamic Arts Records. The band’s second album, called The Disease Of St. Vitus, is planned to be released in spring 2010.

The band has now entered the studio, and recently checked in with the following update:

"That's right folks! DSF entered the D-Studio building 2 days ago and we have already recorded drum tracks for 5 songs. The recording process has gone smooth and we have 3 days left for the drums. Should be no problem to finish those tracks without a hurry...

After that we will have a 1 week break and then we come back to D-Studio and record the guitars and the bass.

Vocals will be done with Mikko Herranen (RUST, MISERY INC., VELCRA) in a secret lair with a help of a mysterious producer. After that Mr. Herranen will mix the album and then the mastering process and after that we should have a print-ready album to go-go.

Best way to follow us in the making of process is to surf into our official website and check the twitter-box OR go to deadshapefigure.blogspot.com and check out our official studio-blog!

We will be posting stuff every day so stay tuned!"

Further updates to follow.
