RockMusicStar.com has issued an interview with Steve "Lips" Kudlow of ANVIL. The following is an excerpt:

Q: Does success feel ever so bittersweet now?

A: "I always thought of the band as successful. I never really looked at my career, as anything but that - otherwise we would have quit. You got to take that into consideration. Why would you do something that is not getting anywhere? The real truth is we have thousands of fans all over the world - certainly not millions of fans but we don't profess that. We are the corner hardware store, we are not Home Depot. But we carry on business. We are close to our clientele and our clientele appreciate us. It is as simple as that."

Q: So would you say at the end of the day it is all about the music and the fans and not the fame and fortune?

A: "Absolutely! It is not making a million bucks that makes you successful. What success really is, ultimately, is doing what you truly love and getting away with it."

Rockstarpix.com recently posted a set of photos of Anvil's December 10th performance at The Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. Head to this location to view.

As previously reported, Anvil performed their song 'Thumb Hang' for the very first time live, which was recently recorded and is the bonus track on the re-issued version of This Is Thirteen.

This is the first song Lips wrote, proving the metal stands the test of time, 40 years later, this song sounds fresh and new!

Rockstarpix.com captured 'Thumb Hang' on video and it can be viewed below along with 'White Rhino', which showcases the majesty of Robb Reiner's drumming, as well as 'Jackhammer' from the legendary Metal On Metal album.
