December 16, 2009, 15 years ago
TYGERS OF PAN TANG guitarist Robb Weir has checked in with the following year-end update:
"Hey Hey, how you all doingThought I would have my final say this year by wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and a brilliant new year. Your continued support this last year has been an inspiration to me and the band and we look forward to seeing you at our shows next year. 2010 is going to be a big year for us as its our 30th year anniversary since the release of Wildcat and we want to make this a year to remember. We will try and make every show special for you the fans and for us the band.
Live performances are a huge part of our ‘Tyger World,’ and in 2010 watch out for new songs and some old songs we’ve not played for many years. If you have any special requests mail us and we will do our best to include them wherever we can. We will also try and get to places we have either never played or not played for a very long time.
Recording wise, the EP of my favourite Wildcat tracks will be released in February/ March and a brand new album later on in the year. I am busy laying down some riffs for consideration and I have that same feeling and enthusiasm to music I had back in 1979. You guys have shown so much love and loyalty to this band I cannot thank you enough, I salute you, I repect you and you know I love you, we can rock together for many years to come.
Brian, Craig, Dean, Jacopo and of course Simon, you all know how I feel about you guys, its a privilege and pleasure to work with you.
Love and respect to all."
Robb xx
