Portuguese bashers HEAVENWOOD will play a free show today (December 28th) in their home town of Oporto on Aliados Avenu, located in the heart of the city in front of the town hall. The show begins at 6:00pm

As previously reported, Heavenwood have been hard at work writing the follow-up to its 3rd and 2008’s comeback album, Redemption. 'The Arcadia Order‘, from the forthcoming new album is available for exclusive streaming on the band's MySpace page.

The band/ management decision to preview new material so early is because, "everybody is really excited about the new stuff and the things are getting really amazing proportions and also the fans and people in general can have a small taste of what’s to come".

The new record has been composed together with the Orchestral / Classic composer DOMINIC G JOUTSEN from Moscow and a release is expected for 2010 (more details to be announced soon).

"For this new album the band will talk about the Portuguese female poet Marquesa De Alorna, or D. Leonor de Lencastre Portugal and her passionate, turbulent and unfair way of life from 8 to 18 years old once she was arrested at a Monastery for a crime she and her family did not commit.

The talent, genius and expressive sensations from her poems are amazing regarding the century, the fact she was engaged, etc.. she was also very closed friend from Bocage and recently was discovered she introduced the Rose Society in Portugal... so as you see… a visionary!!!"

Song titles set to appear on the CD include 'Goddess Presiding Over Solitude', 'September Blood', 'The Arcadia Order', 'Leonor', 'A Poem For Mathilde' and 'Sudden Scars'.

The band recently released their new video, for the track '13th Moon'. Check it out below. The video was recorded May 30th in Braga, Portugal, and the production was handled by Carlos Barros, Rui Correia and Ricardo Coutinho, a team of young talented Portuguese video/ filmmakers, designers and photographers.

The '13th Moon' video concept is based on the Zodiac signs and it has subliminal messages through images in the amazing style of Alchemy interpretation.
