Canadian melodic death metallers MY SHADOW have issued the following update:

"About a year ago we decided to start the process to recording a new album. We knew at that point that three songs weren't enough for a full length album and we had to sit down to write new material. It was time for My Shadow to move forward and birth something new. As members came and went the writing process was always on halt and never fully on but with the current line-up we felt that the time had come to release the new sound.

Throughout the year we did some pre-production and writing sessions mixed with shows and our daily rituals. We found our sound, we wrote amazing songs and we did amazing shows! Now it's the time of all time. We are really recording the songs. The drums are done and we will start the bass in the new year.

Having a recording studio makes things really easy for us as we can take our time to make things perfect and make it sound the way we want without spending lot's of money and without any time constraint.

The new album entitled Decayed World will contain eight new songs with a couple of instrumental experimentation. The sound and the music will be different from the previous recordings as we are going with a newer modern sound but at the same time keeping it melodic. Our good friend The Christ from the band SORDID will appear in some songs as he will lend his vocal cords and help us make this album as heavy as possible. We are very proud of the album and we can't wait to share it with the world, this decayed world.
