As previously reported, the first single from ex-MEGADETH guitarist Jeff Young's new album, Equilibrium, is a remake of a song from AEROSMITH's 1974 Get Your Wings release entitled 'Seasons Of Wither'. Young, who performs the track with vocalist Twinkle Schascle, comments:

"Recorded 2009 at Alva's Music, San Pedro, CA, live board recording - dry/no effects - effects can suck it. Hear it now here.

I've wanted to do a cover 'Seasons of Wither' since I was a little kid playing along with Get Your Wings in my bedroom, every day, after school. Steven Tyler wrote this piece solo and it wasn't surprising to learn just this year that he sites it as one of his very favorite Aerosmith songs. I knew I didn't want to have a guy sing it cause Steven Tyler can't be duplicated but when I met Twinkle, I knew I had finally found the voice that could do the song proud."

About Twinkle:

Twinkle was born into music and has great back story which includes backing vocal credits on Rod Stewart's multi platinum Vagabond Heart, live duets with Paul Rodgers of Bad Company and a stint as vocalist with former Allman Brothers guitarist, Dickey Betts.

An intriguing and related preface to this story happened when Aerosmith played in Florida recently. Also on the bill was Lenny Kravitz, who couldn't make it for some reason, leaving Aerosmith stuck without an opening act! Long story short, a mutual friend in route to the venue volunteered her friend and passenger, Twinkle to open the show. So without her band, solo with just her voice and piano, Steven Tyler introduced Twinkle to a packed arena where she proceeded to bring the house down! One of those great rock-n-roll stories about a truly gifted artist you won't soon forget."
