SWASHBUCKLE's Admiral Nobeard - "These Cats Need To Just Look Past The Frilly Shirts And Wrap Their Head Around The Music"

Heavy Metal Examiner's Mark Morton has issued an interview with SWASHBUCKLE front man / bassist Admiral Nobeard, in which he discusses the band's upcoming North American tour. The following is an excerpt:
Q: Do you think people are put off by your uniforms more than the music? It seems okay for modern thrash metal bands to go retro and wear denim vests and ripped jeans, but anything else seems cause for a lynch mob.
A: "If anything the retro look is a fucking uniform. We're trying to do something fun, do something entertaining all while trying to play some fast fucking metal. People see the pirate shirts, tri-corn hats, and all the sudden they get repulsed by it. No idea why it happens that way, I mean shit, I listen to the music first before I give a fuck what the band is wearing. Fucking hell, I remember seeing Billy Milano donning Hawaiian shirts with floral prints - that made me want to listen to MOD even more, because there's a dude who obviously doesn't give a fuck and plays music he wants to play. These cats need to just look past the frilly shirts, and wrap their head around the music."
