New York City’s KILLING TIME is gearing up for the release of their first studio album of newly recorded songs in over a decade.

The 12-song full-length release, Three Steps Back, will hit stores on February 9th, courtesy of Dead City Records.

Three Steps Back was written in the band’s original practice garage, the same place where they wrote the tracks for their first demo in 1988, and their first full length, Brightside, in 1989. The new record holds true to the Killing Time formula of hard-hitting, riff-heavy guitars and intelligent lyrics, backed by the pure passion that is synonymous with each Killing Time release.

The band has posted clips of four tracks off the new record on their official MySpace page, to give fans a glimpse of the intensity that can be found on the long overdue, Three Steps Back.

A video trailer for the new record can be viewed below.

The tracklist for Three Steps Back is as follows:

'Flight Plan'

'Spaceheater'

'24'

'Cropduster'

'Mingus'

'The Accident'

'Rope a Dope'

'Inheritance'

'Half Empty'

'Lookout'

'Crouch'

'AKB'

The band will play a record release show in Brooklyn, NY on February 27th to celebrate the release of the new album.

Originally formed in 1988, Killing Time took the hardcore scene by storm with their now-classic release, Brightside, in 1989. Featuring former members of BREAKDOWN and TOKEN ENTRY, Killing Time’s unique blend of hardcore, punk, and metal still continues to influence bands to this day.

Killing Time’s past releases on In-Effect and Blackout Records have sold more than 100,000 units to date. The track 'Tell Tale' was also featured in Grand Theft Auto IV, one of the highest selling video games of all time.
