AUGURY guitarist Mathieu Marcotte has issued the following update on his HUMANOID solo project:

"I've been working on some new compositions in the last two years, and finally started the pre-production process for the second Humanoid album.

There's gonna be some cool surprises on this one since I wanna involve more guests and try new things and techniques.

Since I was a lot busy with Augury lately, it's been hard to work on both projects at the same time, but now the timing is good for me and I'm really excited about the songs and making this record! I'll keep you updated."

Humanoid released their debut album, Remembering The Universe, in February 2008 via Panoptic Records.

According to an album description, "the guitar is treated as an orchestra creating dynamics and textured effects which interweave with one another. These acoustic/space/metal songs with varied influences such as: CYNIC, PINK FLOYD and OPETH are enriched by the collaboration of these guests.

The album also featured fretless bassist Dominic “Forest” Lapointe (Augury, QUO VADIS, ATHERETIC), 9-string bassist Chaoth (UNEXPECT), and drummer Tommy Mckinnon (NEURAXIS).
