On March 9th, Sony/Legacy kicks of their new JIMI HENDRIX campaign with Valleys Of Neptune, a new album containing 12 previously unreleased studio recordings - over 60 minutes of unheard Jimi Hendrix on CD and limited edition two-LP vinyl.

10 recordings were made between February and May 1969 as the Jimi Hendrix Experience set out to create their sequel to the groundbreaking 1968 double album Electric Ladyland.

The album features 'Valleys Of Neptune', one of the most sought after of all of Hendrix’s commercially unavailable recordings, which will be released as a limited edition 45 vinyl on February 9th.

Valleys Of Neptune includes exciting 1969 arrangements of classic signature songs 'Red House', 'Fire' and 'Stone Free.'

Also includes unheard studio versions of Hendrix’s inspired interpretations of 'Bleeding Heart' by ELMORE JAMES and CREAM’s “Sunshine Of Your Love.”

Valleys Of Neptune was mixed by Eddie Kramer, the engineer for all of Hendrix’s albums throughout the guitarist’s lifetime and produced by Janie Hendrix, Eddie Kramer and John McDermott - the team behind all of the acclaimed Jimi Hendrix CD and DVD releases since 1996.

"It's wonderfully fresh material," Eddie Kramer told USAToday.com , who originally recorded, and newly mixed, the Neptune tracks, employing high-tech digital and analog gear to cleanse the audio. "You hear the pure essence of the band, an in-your-face vibrancy. There were only four tracks and no overdubs, with Jimi singing as if he's in a concert. He's at the top of his game."
