MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine was in New York City, NY last night (Tuesday, January 12th) to tape the first episode of Season 4 of VH1's That Metal Show - a talk show hosted by Eddie Trunk with co-hosts Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson.

The show focuses on discussions and debates about "all things hard rock & heavy metal", past and present. That Metal Show airs on VH1 Classic Saturdays at 11/10C and is rebroadcast throughout the week.

Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick has issued the following update:

"In light of the Megadeth/SLAYER/TESTAMENT tour being canceled I thought I would lighten the mood.

First off I would like to wish Tom well and hope that he recovers quickly. I hope everyone had a good new year's celebration and can't wait to get back out on tour and see what the year brings.

Over the holidays I was invited to Scott Tennants house for a Christmas Party and met the rest of the Los Angeles guitar quartet all of whom are extremely nice and (this goes without saying) very accomplished musicians. Of which William Kanengiser is quite the comedian as well. This is what he sent me in the mail (click image at left to enlarge).

On another note I will be at the NAMM show signing at the Ibanez booth Friday the 15th at 11 AM, so stop by if you are there and say hey (no throwing tomatoes please, ahahaha). I will also be going to check out Scott Tennant in concert January 16th at The Fret House in Covina,CA, so if you like classical guitar you won't be disappointed.

Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover has updated his NAMM 2010 signing session schedule. It is now as follows:

January

As previously reported, Megadeth bassist James Lomenzo will be appearing at NAMM 2010 the Rotosound booth (5596, Hall B) on January 16th at 11 AM.
