CMJ's Reverend Moose recently travelled to Tokyo, Japan to meet up with DIR EN GREY and "explore Japanese music culture." The band played two back-to-back shows in Tokyo; Moose goes backstage with guitarist, Die to talk about the band and the significance of the Budokan. Check it out at this location.

Dir En Grey frontman Kaoru has issued the following update:

"Thanks to everyone who came out to Budokan (in Tokyo) for us! I can still hear your voices singing along to 'Hageshisa To, Kono Mune No Naka De Karamitsuita Shakunetsu No Yami' echoing in my heart.

We filmed both shows, so for those of you who were unable to make it, don't worry and keep a look out for the DVD!

Our long tour has just ended and I'm thinking of working on some new songs now. I have no idea what it's all going to sound like but keep patient and wait for it. For the time being, I'm going to take is easy!"

Dir En Grey's new DVD Average Blasphemy was released on October 27th, 2009 via The End Records. Average Blasphemy is packed with almost an hour full of Dir En Grey's mind altering music videos and behind the scenes footage.
