Nico C has been featured on numerous documentaries and in various magazines discussing his extensive knowledge of true crime and the occult. A former inmate of Poissy State prison in France,where he was serving a 12 year sentence for murder, Nico is no stranger to the black metal community, having first come to the attention of the scene via an interview he gave to Norways legendary Slayer Magazine (The unknown interviewer being a key figure and himself incarcerated for murder at the time in Norway). While his years of incarceration may of limited his freedom it only strengthened his knowledge of all things dark and mysterious. Choosing to paint to channel his energy he became well known to underground true crime enthusiasts and collectors.His paintings having been comissioned by the likes of Jonathan Davis (KORN), Merle Allin, Killjoy (NECROPHAGIA) and the late Gidget Gein (who penned the forword to Nico's book about notorious serial killer Richard Ramirez (The Son Of The Devil) shortly before he took his own life. Nico's fourth book MAYHEM & BURZUM In Fire And Blood is the first of its kind to tackle the complicated story of the black metal scene's two most infamous and influential bands. The well publicised Lords Of Chaos from 1997 which attempted to shed light on the story,distorted its perception with a string of half truths, lies and far right nonsense.
