Harmonix Denies JIMI HENDRIX Rock Band Rumour

According to Train2game.com, developer Harmonix has dismissed speculation that it is working on a JIMI HENDRIX-themed edition of its music and rhythm franchise Rock Band.
A representative from the gamemaker told Kotaku stated that a standalone game based on the legendary guitarist's music is not in the works, despite comments attributed to the late star's stepsister.
Janie Hendrix was quoted by the LA Times earlier this week as saying that the speculated new Rock Band game would be released before the end of 2010.
Despite this denial, Harmonix nevertheless stated that it hopes to bring some of the rock icon's work to the Rock Band franchise in some capacity.
It stated: "We are excited to say that we are in discussions to bring more of his music to our platform. Stay tuned."
