KINKS Leader Ray Davies To Collaborate With METALLICA?

Sean Michaels from Guardian.co.uk is reporting that KINKS leader Ray Davies is recording new versions of old songs, replacing his recent choral obsession with celebrity cameos including duets with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and JON BON JOVI.

Davies has also cited possible collaborations with METALLICA, THE KILLERS and LUCINDA WILLIAMS. "I want it to be diverse and interesting," he told the Republican newspaper. "Not the obvious things. [I want to] hopefully stretch the artists and get them to do things that either that they wouldn't have thought of, or that I wouldn't have thought of. I'd like it to be truly collaborative."

Davies joined Metallica for their October 30th performance at Madison Square Garden in New York as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Check out fan-filmed footage below:
