JON LORD - Austria, Ukraine, Sussex Shows Announced
February 28, 2010, 14 years ago
Former DEEP PURPLE keyboard legend JON LORD has confirmed three more shows for 2010.
On April 25, he will perform his new piece, To Notice Such Things, at the church in Horsham in England. The orchestra will be conducted by the honourable Paul Mann.
In May, Jon Lord will visit Imst, Austria on the 9th and Kiev, Ukraine on the 31st. Both shows will feature Concerto For Group and Orchestra along with various solo pieces and a couple of Deep Purple tracks with vocals by Steve Balsamo and Kasia Laska.
Jon Lord’s new album, the all-instrumental To Notice Such Things, will be released on March 29 through Avi Records.
Titled after the main work – a six movement suite for solo flute, piano and string orchestra – the album was inspired by, and is dedicated to the memory of Lord's dear friend Sir John Mortimer, the English barrister, dramatist, screenwriter, author and creator of Rumpole of The Bailey, who died in January of 2009.
