2010 is fast becoming ASPERA’s year as the buzz picks up around the melodic progressive metal band from Skien, Norway and their debut album, Ripples.
RedLionMusic, the international booking agent based in Germany which handles acts such as JON OLIVA'S PAIN, POWER QUEST and CIRCLE II CIRCLE amongst others, proudly announced last month that it was adding Aspera to its roster.
In a statement, RedLionMusic’s MD Anett Lenk affirmed their commitment to working with the band, stating: "We are very pleased to welcome Aspera into our artist family and help this upcoming young band to get international recognition and support the enormous media feedback with live activities."

On the live front, following on from their show with ILLUSION SUITE at Holmen Bar in Otta, Norway, on February 27th, Aspera have now secured one of the headliner slots at Sluserock 10 at Sluseamfi in Lunde, Norway, on June 5th. A festival which covers all musical genres, Sluserock is one of the highlights of the local music scene and attracts over 2,000 fans of all ages from across the music spectrum. Having played there before, Aspera have now been asked back by public demand.
In addition, on March 20th the band will be at Berserk 2010 at Sogn Skisenter in Sogndal, Norway and the day before Sluserock on June 4th will play at Parken Rock & Riff in Otta, Norway (venue to be confirmed).
As the ripples spread further, the first international dates are now being confirmed for 2010. On October 1st, Aspera will be playing the Prog Metal Night at Gunzendorf Live Club, Germany as special guest of Jon Oliva’s Pain, and then on October 3rd will be appearing at the prestigious ProgPower Europe Festival in Baarlo, The Netherlands.
