FREE RANGE HUMANZ is the new heavy power trio featuring Kurt Kuthe (ELEKTRIK MISTRESS/KUTHE) on guitars and vocals, Rueben Romano (NEBULA, THE FREEKS) on drums and Kenny Cunningham (EDWIN, BROOM FILLER) on bass.
Says Kuthe: "Man this is a real dream come true to be playing with my friends for the pure sake of having fun. There is no other purpose behind this band than to have fun and write some really heavy, heavy songs. I've kept this a secret for a very long time, as I wanted to make sure we could all get it together up here in Toronto. Ruben's flying up from the desert as we speak and we had to arrange a time for all of us when we would have a good chunk of time to jam, write and record."
The plan is to write and record over the next few weeks and have a summer release for July 2010 with a tour of Germany planned for the spring of 2011.
Kuthe adds: "We're looking for distribution in Germany and Europe, as I already have my own record label Echo Relations Inc. So if we can get together with a cool distribution company out of Germany/Europe, you will see us hitting the road next year. We just have to co-ordinate all our schedules as we all have other bands, projects and families."
