THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN's Greg Puciato has checked in with the following update:

"First off, thanks for everyone who went out and got our record on day one. It made a difference.

We were neck and neck with people on the iTunes and Amazon charts that were just hilarious to us. Sandwiched in between JIMI FUCKING HENDRIX and PEARL JAM on the iTunes rock charts was little ol' us, and on the main album charts page we were in the company of mouthbreathers like KESHA and Disney pedophilia wet dream icon JUSTIN BEIBER. Life is, at times, hilarious.

How killer is it that we basically sound like noise to the average person, that if we were an animal we would literally use those aforementioned people as food, and yet there we were in their company. Talk about infiltrating enemy territory.

We're like the dudes that were just doing their thing and then somehow ended up in some yuppie house party and before you know it we're trashing the place like it's the BEASTIE BOYS 'Fight For Your Right To Party' video and everyone there's just gotta deal with our presence or get the hell out. Somethin' like that. So thanks to you guys so far.

This album is making so much noise that people on the sidelines can't help but deal with our obnoxious presence in their boring comfortable existence. We're showing up and pissing badassery all over the mainstream music world's high priced carpets and you guys are right there with us. Suck it, Beiber.

Yet, with all of the first day insanity, and despite the last blog, some of you have STILL been writing in saying "dudes.... I went to Wal-Mart and they didn't have yer album.... whadda I do?"

So... for those.... I wanna show you in the EASIEST way possible, how to go about obtaining our new album, Option Paralysis. Here are some... uh... options, that don't involve wandering around in a huge warehouse full of garbage:

- Season Of Mist Webstore
- ITunes (with bonus track)
- Amazon
- Relapse E-Store
- Newbury Comics (autographed)
- FYE exclusive CD/T-Shirt bundle

ORRRR... because there's tons of places in each city to get this album, you can just call the store you wanna go to and make sure they have it, BEFORE you go there and get caught rooting through the Disturbed section or the Annie DiFranco or Celine Dion sections like DORRRRRRKS trying to find our album, cause that's the delightful company we usually find ourselves in thanks to the first few letters of our name.

Again, thanks for the preposterous first day. It feels good to know that you guys care, and that when we take a year of our time laboring over ten songs and getting them ready for you, that a great percentage of you guys actually show your support. That's the only way possible that we're even showing up next to those huge pop slop dorks on the charts, because for every 1000 people that like that shit, only like 1 pays for it. But, our place on these chart thingies show us that a good percentage of you guys are actually CHOOSING to show your appreciation for our band and our album, and we fucking LOVE YOU for it. We have the best fans.... fuck that, friends, that we could ever ask for. For all the integrity that we pride ourselves on, you guys've got that shit in spades too and that makes our day. Who would wanna despise their audience? Not us, and we certainly don't.

Oh and by the way, the shows on this tour so far? Yeah. Whew. Yup. KILLER. Thanks to everyone who has come out so far and everyone else who is planning on coming, these shows have been huge fireballs of power between us and you guys and we've loved every one of them. See you all soon if we haven't already.

Check the rest of the dates for this North American tour on the front page, as well as some May dates for Australia!!! That's right, Aussies. We're coming back. Get ready.

Thanks again everyone, see a lot of you soon, time to go to bed. It's 7:55am."
