Global Times has issued the following report from Xu Liuliu:

When it comes to heavy metal, LAMB OF GOD (LOG) deserves to be recognized among the best purveyors of the genre. And in April, Chinese metalheads will have reason to celebrate and mosh when the US band will play two shows at Star Live.

LOG's upcoming China mini-tour marks a first for the band that was twice nominated for a Grammy. Randy Blythe, LOG's lead vocalist, said the band was very excited and eager to be coming to China.

"We will be doing something before you for a change," Blythe said he told the band METALLICA, who has yet to play a show in China.

According to LOG's China tour organizer, Guitar China's Jiang Wei, the tour took them three months to plan for and prepare.

"Our Taiwan counterparts gave LOG's Asian tour plans to us," said Jiang. "They are very happy to be mak'ing a stop in China."

LOG had originally planned to play shows in both Beijing and Shanghai, but the band was unable to secure a proper performing license.

"There was nothing we could do about the cancelled Shanghai show, so we added one more date in Beijing," said Jiang. "It was a tragedy that we're letting LOG's fans in Shanghai down."

Jiang admitted that he is still worried about being able to recoup his losses from organizing the band's two Beijing shows. Jiang said he has spent years organizing shows for foreign performers, but has been losing money for just as long.

"Each show will sell around 500 tickets at most," he said. "I don't dare talk about earning money in a situation like this, but I'm just making sure I can make ends meet."
"I don't regret asking LOG to come to China," Jiang added. "Losing money or not is not something I can decide on. [LOG] is really, truly great, and least they are being able to bring their great rock spirts and experiences here."
