Brooklyn’s new hybrid of stoner rock, doom, and hardcore, KINGS DESTROY, has announced that they are ready to unleash their debut two-song 7-inch next month, on May 25th.

The 7-inch will be available for purchase through the band’s webstore, and digital download through iTunes. The two songs, 'Old Yeller' and 'Medusa', were recorded by Mike Moebius, at Moonlight Mile studios in Hoboken, NJ. The track, 'Old Yeller', can be streamed on the band’s official MySpace page.

Hailing from the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, Kings Destroy is the spawn of several New York hardcore and punk legends. Consisting of members of NYHC staples, KILLING TIME and UPPERCUT, and punk stalwarts, ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN, the members of Kings Destroy are no strangers to the heavy music scene. Their influences include YOB, THE MELVINS and CRO-MAGS, with lyrics that range from science fiction, to societal issues and politics, accompanied by riff heavy, down tempo guitar-work, and intense vocals verging on the demented. There is no denying that Kings Destroy’s sound is all their own.

Kings Destroy will be play a handful of shows in May to celebrate the release of the forthcoming 7-inch, donating a portion of the profits to the Brooklyn-based youth basketball team, the On Point Cyclones, whom the band sponsors. More details regarding the dates and locations of the shows will be announced in the coming weeks.

The band will then head into the world famous Water Music recording studio in Hoboken, NJ this June, to record their debut full-length record with renowned stoner/doom producer, Sanford Parker (YOB, PELICAN, NACHTMYSTIUM). The full-length is expected to release this fall.

Kings Destroy is:

Steve Murphy – Vocals (Uppercut)

Carl Porcaro – Guitars (Killing Time)

Chris Skowronski – Guitars (Killing Time)

Rob Sefcik – Drums (Electric Frankenstein, BEGOTTEN)

Ed Bocchino – Bass (STANLEY)
