This year's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival is scheduled for August 5th - 7th in Wacken, Germany. Organizers have issued the following update:

"Finally our mega program (best billing of all Wacken time) is done! As always we tried to do our best to give you the best billing possible. And on top of that we hope that we were able to exceed our anniversary billing from last year!

Wednesday will start with the heavy folk band FIDDLERS GREEN at the Medieval stage and – business as usual – MAMBO KURT and THE FIREFIGHTERS will play at the Beergarden stage. Also the W.E.T. stage will start earlier with the winners of W:O:A’s Metal Battle. And last but not least, after the big success from last year there will be events at the Medieval Market and at the Bullhead City Wrestling tent.

The Night To Remember is more amazing this time - SKYLINE, the band of W:O:A-founder Thomas, together with special guests like DORO and U.D.O. and followed by IRON MAIDEN, ALICE COOPER and MÖTLEY CRÜE."
