Metal-Rules.com has issued an interview with IRON FIRE vocalist Martin Steene. The following is an excerpt:

Q: Obviously, Iron Fire has experienced a long roller coaster ride and at several points been predicted a break-through. What has influenced this kind of ride?

A: "Well like I said before there have been ups and downs for sure. We have been close to a bigger breakthrough more than once and it has been painful to see it not happening but then again, we do what we always do, work hard and take things as they come. In the end this is my life and my dream and I'm damn lucky that I have 3 other persons/friends who is a part of that dream today.

So we will continue until this world goes down in flames."

The Danish power metallers have issued the following update:

"On April 15th, we will start recording the next Iron Fire album. The working title is Metalmorphosized and with this album we celebrate our ten years anniversary as recording artists.

Instead of just making a best of album, we give you 13 new greatest hits. We have picked up some previous unreleased songs back from the years between On The Edge and Revenge, and updated them to how we think Iron Fire should sound in 2010. There will also be brand new written tracks that will show the path of future albums to come.

To complete this anniversary package all previous album recording members of the band will be guest appearing on the record.

We are planing to be ready for mix with Tommy Hansen within a couple of months. Prepare for ten years of Metal and Madness unleashed in audio. More info about release dates will follow soon."
