According to Viagogo.co.uk, KISS frontman Gene Simmons has revealed a childhood love of THE BEATLES turned him into a lover of all things English.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo ahead of the UK leg of the band's European tour, the rock star said he had always wanted to come to the fab four's hometown.

"I was watching the Ed Sullivan show and I saw them. Those skinny little boys, kind of androgynous, with long hair like girls," he said.

"It blew me away that these four boys in the middle of nowhere could make that music."
