SLASH Debuts At #1 In Canada, Top 5 In US; Album Certified Gold In First Week Of Release

Legendary guitarist SLASH (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) has debuted at #1 on both the Nielsen Soundscan Album Chart and the iTunes Album Chart in Canada with his new, self-titled solo album.
The album landed at #3 on on The Billboard 200 in the US, selling approximately 60,000 copies in that country.
Slash has also been certified Gold in Canada during its first week of release. The first single, 'By The Sword', featuring Andrew Stockdale of WOLFMOTHER, is currently Top 20 at rock radio.
Slash says, "The response to this record in Canada has been overwhelming! I can't wait to bring the tour over and show my gratitude to all the fans for making it #1!"
Slash performed his new solo single, 'Back To Cali', on Monday's edition of comedian George Lopez' talk show, Lopez Tonight, on TBS. Watch Slash's appearance below.
