IRON MAIDEN's Flight 666 won the Music DVD Of The Year award at the 2010 Juno Awards which were held at St. John's Convention Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland on Saturday, April 17th.

The documentary - made by Canadian heavy metal filmmakers Sam Dunn and Scott McFadyen (Global Metal, Metal: A Headbanger's Journey) - beat out the likes of RUSH's Snakes & Arrows Live.

"I wore my Caress Of Steel shirt because I thought Rush were going to win," Dunn told Spinner.ca backstage after their win, noting the duo's next documentary is the upcoming Rush film Beyond The Lighted Stage.

"We spent seven weeks on the road with Iron Maiden, and there were about 100 soccer hooligans on board the plane asking why were the colonists making a movie about Iron Maiden," he said, adding that band's singer Bruce Dickinson was also the tour's airplane pilot.

The pair got the assignment after having interviewed Dickinson for their debut film Metal: A Headbanger's Journey.

"It was the hardest thing we've ever done," McFadyen said, "but those guys are much less chaotic than you think. They're professionals. We played tennis together."
