Arizona based virtuosic thrashers VEKTOR have been hailed by fans and critics alike for their futuristic space metal epic Black Future, and today Heavy Artillery Records announces that this modern masterpiece will be released on deluxe double vinyl LP in conjunction with the band’s second full US tour, dates TBA shortly.
Packaged in a gatefold jacket with two full color inner sleeves and limited edition colored vinyl, Black Future deluxe vinyl will available in stores on Tuesday, June 29th.
Additionally, live Vektor videos for the songs 'Black Future' and 'Destroying the Cosmos' have been uploaded. Check them out below.
Vektor employs an array of intricacy, virtuosity and a wholly unique sound that has set them apart from the growing legions of color-by-numbers thrash bands.
Conceived in 2004 by front man / guitarist David DiSanto and lead shredder Erik Nelson, Vektor quickly forged a name for themselves for their unique mix of technical, speed thrash and progressive influences. Going against the grain of the Phoenix metal scene, Vektor created a wave of interest with their self released CD Demolition (2006) and the ferocious two track demo Hunger For Violence (2007). On the heels of the successful Winter Mayhem Tour with label mates EXMORTUS, Vektor are itching to get out on the road again and will announce summer US tour dates. Stay tuned for details.
