Dave Mustaine Issues Final Farewell To MEGADETH Radio - "I Have Never Been More Excited To Listen To The Radio As I Was With Our Project"
April 26, 2010, 14 years ago
MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine, who recen tly decided to scrap Megadeth Radio until further notice, has checked in with the following update:
"Droogies!I would like to give my final thanks to the men and women that helped me with Megadeth Radio.
To Evan, Owen, Rich and the APE side, thank you so very much. I am a perfectionist and I know that I am hard to work with; most people like me are when they are aiming really, really high. You guys were great, and I am better off for knowing ya.
To all of my personal staff in my studio, my webmaster, my co-webmaster, management, biz management, and my friends that helped, thank you too. I have never been more excited to listen to the radio as I was with our project."
Following is a portion of Mustaine's original announcement signalling the end of Megadeth Radio:
"I am pulling the plug on Megadeth Radio. Thank you guys for all your support. I just got tired of the mediocrity from those guys [Clear Channel Radio] not taking care of stuff. I can't program this thing by myself. So rather than deal with the bullshit, we have decided to just walk away from it. Maybe a few months from now we'll find someone else that can do things better than how they did it. But for now I just want to tell you I've got a lot of stuff I'm working on. I appreciate all your comments, it didn't fall on deaf ears with me, it fell on deaf ears after me. God bless you guys, love ya."Listen to Mustaine's entire message here.
