The 10th anniversary of the Bloodstock Open Air will take place at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, UK from August 13th – 15th.

Organizers have issued the following update:

"A further two acts have been confirmed for Bloodstock's already stellar 10th Anniversary line up.

Flying in from Scavagner, Norway, PURIFIED IN BLOOD will be making their first ever UK festival appearance on the Sophie Lancaster stage. Recently signed to Spinefarm/Universal, with a new album set for release on June 7th PIB's brand of brutal metal has earned them a reputation as a fierce live act in their native Norway as well as across Europe and the US. Now they're set to impress the UK metalheads, a task that vocalist Tommy Svela is eager to take on

"We are extremely happy to rock the UK again. Playing Bloodstock's 10th Anniversary will be an absolute honour and we are truly looking forward to share the stage with some of our greatest influences. Ears will bleed and heads will bang!"

Joining them will be up and coming metallers MORDECAI. You may have heard their music on the backing track for the official Bloodstock 2010 video trailer (see below) - an honour the band are proud to have bestowed upon them.

States vocalist/Guitarist Dan M. Hicks: "We're really looking forward to playing Bloodstock 2010, the line-ups get better and better each year and the festival still maintains that grass roots feel! We're so proud that our track "Without You" from our Always and Forever EP has been used as the theme tune for this year's Bloodstock promo video and can't wait to play live on the Sophie stage on the Saturday... its a real honour for the Mordecai boys!"
