MEGADETH have issued the following update:
"David Ellefson and Shawn Drover check in from Buenos Aires, Argentina with two new video blogs. The guys sign autographs and take pictures with fans outside of Megadeth's hotel in Buenos Aires just hours before the band plays to a sold out show at Luna Park Stadium. In the second video, Shawn sends a big thanks to Costa Rican fans who have camped out since April 22nd waiting for the Megadeth show in La Gaucima, Costa Rica on May 9th. See the video blogs only at the MegaFanClub ."Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine recently checked in with the following road update:
"When we are under a contract to play, we have a set amount of time that we play. The concert in Recife, Brasilia, and Porto Alegre was a 90 minute set, and Sao Paulo was an 'Evening With...' which was around two hours (and too long). Even with a contract to play 90 minutes last night, we still played a little longer. The crowd last night in Porto Alegre was insane, and the show, the audience, and the band seemed like they were having the best experience of the entire Brazilian tour.
Anyway, what a fitting way to end Brazil and head to Argentina. Our entire band and crew is walking on air after the show last night (it was that enjoyable for us all). We have added DC and TDWF to the set and we are going to take out one of the songs from the set last night, so that we are back to the 90 minute set that we are contracted for (it was 100 minutes with all of the delays and whatnot). So if you have a suggestion of which song from last night's set that you wouldn't mind us pulling, please let me know.
We are having the most fun we have ever had, EVER! Now we are starting to develop our stage show and I cannot wait to see how our new Lighting Director (L.D.) Mark Workman is going to do next with our shows. The irony of all of this was that Mr. Workman was our L.D. when we were touring R.I.P. back in the 90's. So its really cool to work with someone who understands metal and who understands Megadeth.
In closing, I want to thank my Promoter Tour Manager Rep, the Production Reps, and all of the beautiful people of Brazil; I fall in love each and every time we come here. I just wish that I could speak the language more (at all really) so that the Brazilian fans could converse with me and I could understand and talk to them back in their native tongue.
God Bless you Brazil, and good luck in the World Cup . . . and now . . . come on Buenos Aires!"
