Organizers of the Wacken Open Air festival have issued the following update:

Sunday, theDust And Diesel rally started. The journey goes across Africa via Morocco to Mauritania where the cars used for this rally are going to be sold. With the sales revenue two officially recognized German-Mauritanian orphanage projects are supported.

The Wacken Open Air has a partaking team as well – and of course this team drives a real desert prepared “Wacken-Car”. The whole journey will be supported by a record crew of the Bayrischer Rundfunk which is doing a documentaion about the rally.

As previously reported, the UK's CIRCUS OF HORRORS - "the show combining horror and skills, demons and beauties, artists and burlesque and everything that’s creepy, strange and amazing, along with voodoo acrobats, bendy bodies, demon dwarfs and flying vampires performing strange circus acts and blood curdling stunts" - will be taking over the Bullhead City Wrestling Tent in a brand new show especially for Wacken 2010.
