BLAKK MARKET Release Debut Tracks On MySpace; Aim For Wacken Metal Battle

'Atlas' and 'Theater Of Lies', two of the ten tracks featured on Self-Improvement: Suicide, Brazilian melodic death metal quartet BLAKK MARKET's debut album, are now available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.
These songs will also be played live on the Brazilian edition of this year's Wacken Metal Battle.
"We had already put these songs to the test on stage, but this is a very special gig. It could be a huge step for Blakk Market", says guitarist Thiago Rocha. "We are preparing ourselves for a gig worthy of WMB", comments Fernando Melleu, the lead singer.
Bassist Felippe Chiella says the rehearsals were intensified since the group's confirmation alongside acts such as KHROPHUS, BATTALION, HANGOVER and CHRISTMESS.
"It's not quite a contest, for we are all friends in our home state's metal scene; however, all groups are known for great live performances, so we have to deliver the audience our very best", he commented.
For guitarist Alexandre Schneider, it's an opportunity to showcase new stuff to a larger number of fans, gathering here from every corner of the state.
The Brazilian part of the WMB contest takes place in 15 regional shows with 5 competitors each show in 15 different cities throughout the country, summing up 75 bands. The shows are scheduled to occur between March 21st and May 8th. The semi-finals contest will occur on May 11th, 12th and 13th and the Brazilian Final will take place in São Paulo, on May 17th.
