May 15, 2010, 14 years ago
AC/DC thundered into Sofia, Bulgaria last night (May 14th) and performed in front of 60,000 people at Vassil Levski Stadium. According to Sofiaecho.com, the show will be something to remember forever – a divine performance by a band that has paved the way for rock and heavy music throughout the decades.
This is one of those concerts that will remain in the national folklore for eternity. This is the type of concert that 30 years from now, people will be telling their children, "son, I was there!"
The Sofia concert was the opening of the band's European tour that will include 17 more shows in different European cities and the first ever in Bulgaria.
The monstrous 75-metre stage for the show was constructed for the concert in less than a week, while AC/DC embarked in Bulgaria with a fleet of lorries packed gear and equipment, 10 sleeping buses and a crew of 100 people.
