May 17, 2010, 14 years ago
German metallers HEAVEN SHALL BURN are streaming their entire new album Invictus on their MySpace page.
Invictus [the full title of which is Invictus (Iconoclast III)] was recorded at Tue Madsen’s Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark. Again, the album was produced by the two guitarists Alexander Dietz and Maik Weichert as well as mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen.
The European limited edition of Invictus will be available as luxurious box-set including a digipak that comes in an alternative artwork with a bonus-track (a coverversion of THERAPY?’s 'Nowhere') and together with a bonus DVD. This DVD holds a special show that was filmed at the small and intimate club Szene in Vienna. Check out the opening live-clip for 'Forlorn Skies' below:
Maik Weichert (guitars) on the concept of filming a DVD in a small club: “After the big, kick-ass show in a huge venue we felt it was time to go back to what HSB came from and what we are really about – the energy that you can feel a lot better in an intimate environment.”
The vinyl edition will also be available with the alternative artwork plus the entire album on CD, so every fan should be able to find the right format that caters his/her taste.
Invictus will be out on the following dates:
