Brian Archuleta traded a non-winning New Mexico Lottery Scratcher for a trip to party with AEROSMITH at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland.
“I’m gonna rock on with Aerosmith,” Archuleta said when he arrived at the lottery’s Albuquerque headquarters yesterday morning.
The Las Vegas, New Mexico resident entered a special lottery drawing for players holding non-winning “Aerosmith” Scratcher tickets. On Tuesday, Archuleta’s ticket was drawn from among 8,600 entries as the winner of the trip for two valued at $5,000.
Archuleta, 38, has gone to four Aerosmith concerts. His favorite Aerosmith song is 'Dude Looks Like A Lady'.
The party with Aerosmith is scheduled for October 28th. Archuleta is taking his girlfriend, Angela Archuleta, who previously won a $100 cash prize playing the “Aerosmith” game.
“We always split our lottery prizes so Angela will be going with me to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame,” Archuleta said.
Until then, Archuleta is thinking about what he might say when he meets the band. He said what comes to mind is “We’re not worthy” from the Aerosmith cameo in a Wayne’s World sketch on Saturday Night Live.
On June 29th, the lottery will draw a second winner to attend the Aerosmith party. Players can enter the second-chance drawing at NMLottery.com.
All net revenues from the sale of New Mexico Lottery games benefit a tuition-assistance program for New Mexico residents attending the state’s public colleges and universities. Since 1996, the lottery has raised $435 million for education and more than 61,000 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
