ANNIHILATOR Issue CD / Touring Update; New Album Cover/Booklet Art Offered
May 27, 2010, 14 years ago
The new ANNIHILATOR CD has been out in Europe, Japan and Australia since May 17th, while North America has had iTunes, Amazon and many other digital/online services making the new CD available for download-only - and legally.
Annihilator main-man Jeff Waters: "Although the new CD, Annihilator, has been doing fantastic on ITunes and other online outlets, the new CD is still not available in North America. For those who legally downloaded it here, we thank you and would like to offer you, at least, the booklet and cover to check out, until the physical cd comes out here. Check it out here.
Also coming soon will be an announcement on touring this fall in Europe and other territories. It is going to be a blast and we're looking forward to a headlining tour this time around. To play the approximately 2 hour set we want to do has been a while coming and the surge in new fans and strength of the older fans has driven our new CD past, sales-wise, anything we have done for a long, long time! Thanks to all of you new and old :)
See many of you this summer at Hellfest France, Sonisphere Spain, Rockweekend Sweden, Kaliakrarock Bulgaria and the mighty Masters Of Rock in the Czech Republic! Cheers and may you all have a great summer!"

Waters recently discussed life as a professional musician after 20+ years and thirteen albums in a new interview. An excerpt is available below:
Waters: “It was a lot of fun doing the Metal album but honestly – totally honest – it was just another record. You can’t have this pressure and stress where you say ‘I guess if this album doesn’t sell well that’s it for the band…’ or ‘I hope this thing makes a lot of money.’ We don’t think like that. For us it’s a big deal that we have the chance to make another album. We sit and look in the mirror and say ‘This is awesome, be grateful and enjoy the fucking thing.’ The only stress I have doing a record these days is whether I’m out of coffee or not. That’s the only way you can do this.”
