Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine recently issued the following update:
"We are heading off with more great things on our horizon than at any time I can ever remember, and I do remember. Still, I don’t want to miss a second of what is coming up in these next two months, which could be what I would call, 'my musical nirvana.'Over the last two months I have streamlined some things in the land of all things Mega, and made some necessary improvements out on the Killing Road too. I looked at several other projects and distractions that I needed to debride, that were just taking all of my time and there were absolutely zero benefits to me, my family, or to Megadeth, so I chose my family and Megadeth.
That is the purpose of this update. I want to say thanks to my wonderful family for the most amazing two weeks at home and I can’t wait to see you guys in Europe.
Justis, congratulations on graduating from High School! You have made me so proud, and I can’t wait to see what is next in your life. We are going to have a blast with all of your Dad’s European friends this summer! And there are a lot of ‘em!
And to my family of Droogs, this is going to be one hell of a year coming up, mark my words! I am so pumped about this year so far, and the best is yet to come!
I have to go pack now, and spend time with my family before they leave for school and I have to say goodbye to Pam, and get in the limo.
Have a great summer! I love you all."
