RushIsABand.com repot that RUSH members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were interviewed for CTV's Canada AM this morning (Wednesday, June 2nd). The interview focuses mostly on the Rush documentary Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage, but their upcoming tour is also mentioned briefly.

As previously reported, Orange Amps have announced that Geddy Lee is now using their Orange Bass amps.

According to a press release: Rush are one of rock’s most influential bands, racking third for most consecutive gold or platinum albums after THE BEATLES and the ROLLING STONES. They have sold more than 40 millions albums worldwide across a career that spans over four decades. Respected for both their virtuoso musicianship and song writing, the band have legions of fans.

Geddy Lee’s technical and skill is widely recognised. He has influenced a generation of players and has won countless awards including winning six times ‘best bass player’.

The band recently announced a forty date North America tour where they will be playing, for the first time ever, their classic album Moving Pictures live in it’s entirety. Geddy will be using 2 x Orange AD200 bass heads together with 2 x OBC410 4x10” Bass Cabinets on the tour.

Rush recently won the 2010 Heineken Audience award at the New York’s Trebica film festival for their new film rockumentary Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage. The film will be screened worldwide on June 7th and tickets for the London and Finish screening sold out in 9 minutes, prompting organisers to add more dates.

Geddy has been working with fellow band mates Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart on their 20th studio album called Clockwork Angels, with a tentative launch for spring 2011. They launched two songs from the new album on June 1st, 2010 via digital music providers.

'Caravan' and 'BU2B' will be featured on the band's forthcoming album, Clockwork Angels, due out in 2011.

'Caravan' and 'BU2B' were recorded earlier this year in Nashville with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, who previously collaborated with Rush on 2007's critically acclaimed Snakes & Arrows. Rush will return to the studio to resume recording after the completion of the upcoming Time Machine Tour, with plans to release their 20th studio album, Clockwork Angels, in 2011.

The Time Machine Tour will begin June 29th at Albuquerque, New Mexico's Hard Rock Casino and then travel North America through early October (see below itinerary). The band is currently busy preparing for the tour, which include both 'Caravan' and 'BU2B' on each evening's setlist alongside other Rush favorites. In addition, the band will be performing its 1981 masterpiece, Moving Pictures, in its entirety for the first time ever. Both 'Caravan' and 'BU2B' will also be offered as a special Limited Edition CD single, available to fans through the band's official website as well as through various pre-sale tour packages.
