All-star band HAIL! - featuring vocalist Tim Ripper Owens (BEYOND FEAR, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ex-JUDAS PRIEST), guitarist Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), drummer Paul Bostaph (ex-SLAYER, TESTAMENT) and James Lomenzo (ex-MEGADETH) filling in, in the wake of their bassist Paul Gray’s (SLIPKNOT) untimely death - have issued the following updates:

"Kouvola, Finland - (Last night) saw us heading into a small village and doing our thing on a grand scale. This was the smallest venue we’ve played on this tour but we got it hopping and the fans went crazy.

Still on a rampage of playing new songs, tonight we really went out on the limb and played LED ZEPPELIN’s 'Immigrant Song' and VAN HALEN’s 'You Really Got Me'. The way this usually happens is somebody just starts playing a song and the rest of the guys just take off with it. While we all know everybody is a great player, this off-the-cuff ability to pull off total surprise, non-rehearsed, songs onstage really demostrates just how good everybody really is.

We've had a lot of fun playing these new songs and it truly fits in with what we feel about Hail! The fun of sharing these special surprises together has created a very intimate and strong personal bond with you and we're thankful you understand what we are doing and appreciate why we are doing it this way. Thank you for all the wonderful support and love you keep sharing with us - you're making it just as much fun for us as we are hoping to do for you. Knuckles in the air! Kiitos Kouvola."

Another update from Hail! reads: "Sauna Open Air Festival, Tampere, Finland.

We came back to the Sauna Open Air Festival to headline the second stage and as we checked into our hotel we ran into our buddies in DEATH ANGEL, who played the festival yesterday. As fate would have it, they were staying an extra day so what better way to hang out then to jam 'Cold Gin' together? …and that’s exactly what we did! Rob Cavestany and Mark Osegueda joined us in slamming through an awesome rendition of the KISS classic and the crowd went nuts!

It was a special event to play together as Death Angel are early pioneers of thrash metal and we Hail! them! Thank you Rob, Mark, Ted, Will, Sammy, Damien, Anders & Julia - you guys crushed it!"
