THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL To Release Free MP3 To Mark Release Of Debut Album
June 18, 2010, 14 years ago
Rhode Island-based prog metallers THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL will release free MP3 on June 21st, to mark the release of their debut album, Awaken, which will be available in all UK and European stores as of June 21st.
The band recorded ‘Arcarsenal’ by AT THE DRIVE-IN as a treat for their fans both new and old.
Bassist Nick Sollectio had the following to say regarding the track: “We had debated for months about a cover song that was appropriate for us on a whole. I suggested something by At The Drive-In to which Jake suggested ‘Arcarsenal’ and we all agreed immediately. Taking on a song by a band as mighty as At The Drive-In is no small task, and we understand the dangers in doing so. But, I think we all love the band so much that it was hard to say no.”
A free download of ‘Arcarsenal’ can be found at this location on June 21st.
The Empire Shall Fall are the new band from former KILLSWITCH ENGAGE frontman Jesse Leach and Awaken features such tracks as 'Lords Of War', for which the band released a video for earlier this year. The video can be seen below.
Awaken will be released through Angle Side Side Records (Distributed through Code7 Distribution). Further details to follow.
