As previously reported on BraveWords.com here, Primal Fear vocalist Ralf Scheepers is working on his first solo album. An update from Primal Fear and SINNER bassist Mat Sinner - who is playing bass on the entire record and producing - reads as follows:

"After three years in the making, we will start finally with the production of Ralf's first solo album this weekend. One of the most colorful personalities of the Swedish metal scene will nail down the drums and Studio Seven - Snowy Shaw, who is well known for his work in DREAM EVIL, THERION, KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, NOTRE DAME etc. We've confirmed a photo-shoot with Alex Kühr in Germany for the cover artwork on Tuesday. More news on the progress and the impressive guestlist will be revealed soon!"

About the style of the solo effort Sinner told BraveWords.com recently: "In part it’s very metal. Very metal. So it will not be Ralf’s ballad album. There were some ballads where Ralf was showing a different kind of music, his talent in music, because he’s playing all the instruments on one song, for example. So you hear him playing guitar, keyboards, so it’s very interesting. But overall I will say it’s a very tough metal album.”
