The website admin team behind Todd Kerns, who until recently was playing bass for SLASH as well as fronting his own band, SIN CITY SINNERS, has issued the following statement:

"This is just to give everyone an update on Todd's condition...

As we all know from Todd's blog, he underwent surgery for a retinal detachment of his right eye on July 17th. He wants everyone to know that he is recuperating well, but will still be out of commission for a couple more weeks.

Due to the lengthy recovery time for Todd to be 100% again, he will not be completing the Asia/Australia leg of the Slash Tour and will not be playing any Sin City Sinners shows during this time frame. This is an unfortunate must as we all know Todd likes to keep busy.

He will not be communicating much as well. We all know that with any eye injury, looking at a computer screen is not fun. So we all wish him the best of luck and hope for a speedy recovery."

As previously reported, Slash recruited former GREAT WHITE bassist Tony Montana to replace Todd Kerns on his upcoming Asia/Australia tour.
