Hayley Bykens of Observer-Reporter.com reports that former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler - who will release his biography, My Appetite For Destruction, on July 27th via HarperCollins - will be in Pittsburgh, PA on July 29th to promote the book.

The day's events include Adler and his new band, ADLER’S APPETITE performing at the Hard Rock Café in Station Square. The show will feature many GN'R classics, as well as Adler’s Appetite’s newest single, 'Alive'. Prior to the show, Adler will be at Eide's Entertainment on Penn Avenue from 5:30pm to 7:30pm to sign copies of his memoir.

My Appetite For Destruction chronicles the life of Adler from his abusive childhood through his issues with drugs and alcohol at a very young age. The book reads much like a diary and is a view into the mind of a man who has come to grips with many dark problems in his life.

“It’s not a pretty book,” said Adler. “But it made me feel so much better to know that I was not the only person in the world with a drug problem or who had been sexually abused. I was relieved to get it out of system and would encourage anyone else battling with similar issues to talk to someone because it will help.”

Adler's latest Tweet reads: "Good news my friends and fans! My book is going to released worldwide :) European dates should be announced soon I'm told."
