BOB MITCHELL Commemorate's Death Of Late ATTACKER Guitarist Jim Mooney
July 27, 2010, 14 years ago
Singer Bob Mitchell (THE BOB MITCHELL BAND, SCEPTOR, MIND ASSASSIN, ex-ATTACKER, VYNDYCATOR) has issued the following update:
Today, I commemorate the passing of my friend, brother and song writing partner, guitar great Jim Mooney. Together, Jim and I wrote the album that is considered, by many of you, to be a classic and that album is Battle At Helms Deep (Attacker 1985).
It's still very hard for me to realize that he is gone. Jim died on this day, July 27th, 2000. It was devastating for me personally, as it was with my former bandmates, but, through the years, I have celebrated his memory through some great performances with my former band.
Though I am no longer with them, I will always consider it to be a very special part of, not only my life, but my musical career.
I have posted the first song Jim and I ever wrote together. This song has since become a crowd favorite. This song is 'Disciple'.
Please join in celebrating the memory of the man, the music and the metal majesty of Jim Mooney. Thanks for your friendship and support. Much Love to all."
