BLACK SHEEP frontman WILLIE BASSE will release his new single 'Break Away', featuring former DOKKEN guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB) and SCORPIONS drummer, James Kottak, on iTunes and all digital retailers on September 21st. Mixed by legendary LED ZEPPELIN engineer, Andy Johns, the track is the lead single from Willie Basse’s upcoming new album, Which Side R/U On? slated for a February, 2011 release.

"I'm very excited to basically work this project direct to my fans from MySpace, iTunes and my website Williebasse.com ,” commented Willie. “We’ve been recording at my studio with engineer, Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin/Rolling Stones/Van Halen) and I can’t wait for fans to hear the material, so we’re releasing our new single now. There's not many record companies left, certainly not any with the BALLS to take on a good straight-ahead, ballsy rock project like this one"

Basse is best known for his role as bassist/frontman for legendary metalheads Black Sheep, who were mainstays on the Los Angeles Sunset Strip during the ‘80s metal explosion. The band, best known for their technical prowess and precision, has boasted members that include SLASH, PAUL GILBERT, JAMES KOTTAK, RANDY CASTILLO and MITCH PERRY.
