LoudTrax.com caught with Jamey Jasta of HATEBREED and KINGDOM OF SORROW before he left for Ozzfest. Some highlights from the interview follow:
Regarding the new Kingdom Of Sorrow album: "There’s some progression and we both went out of our comfort zones as far as the writing, singing and the riffs. Feels good."
Regarding Hatebreed: "For me, when I do Hatebreed songs, I’m trying to look myself in the mirror and take a hard look at myself and say something that’s going to keep me motivated. Hatebreed is me being my own drill sergeant."

Kingdom Of Sorrow recently announced that they will be joined by Kenny Hickey of TYPE O NEGATIVE and SEVENTH VOID for their Ozzfest run. Hickey, who will fill-in on guitar for Kirk Windstein, comments on touring with Kingdom Of Sorrow below. Hickey previously toured with the band as part of the GWAR tour in 2008 while Windstein was on tour with DOWN.
Kenny Hickey: “I am psyched to do this tour and help out my friends in KOS. The new record kills and it's gonna be a lot of fun playing it live. I haven't played Ozzfest since MANSON, PANTERA, Type O in ‘97 so it's gonna be a trip back for me.”
Kingdom Of Sorrow will kick-off this first run of tour dates in support of their new album, Behind The Blackest Tears today, August 17th, in Tinley Park, just outside of Chicago, IL. The band also has two Ozzfest off-date performances, partnering with tour-mates BLACK LABEL SOCIETY in Fort Wayne, IN as well as DEVILDRIVER and SKELETONWITCH in Rochester, NY. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found below.
Kingdom Of Sorrow are currently streaming Behind The Blackest Tears in its entirety here.
