Vocalist/bassist David Shaw of STREETLIGHT CIRCUS (formerly DAVID SHAW & THE ROUND TRIP) has issued the following update:

"An unbelievable crowd turned out for our debut performance as Streetlight Circus last week at The Crazy Donkey in New York. We had a great time sharing the bill with FASTER PUSSYCAT, LA GUNS and JOHN CORABI. We now have officially shed the David Shaw & The Round Trip name. The "Circus" has finally come to town!

We also want to thank Kato Peragine of BRITNY FOX for filling in on the drums at the last minute while our drummer Erik Fehrenbach tended to an important and sudden family matter. Kato did an amazing job.

Videos from the show are now up at this location (check out a couple of clips below). If you missed the gig, go check out some of the new songs live as well as some old favorites.

In addition, Streetlight Circus welcomes new guitarist Fabio Bargna into the fold. He is the perfect compliment to guitarist George Giannoulis. It's working out really well.

Lastly, we are putting the finishing touches on the Streetlight Circus album which has taken way too long to complete. But the end is in sight and we expect a fall release.

On a side note, I am inspired and pumped after returning from Denmark and seeing D-A-D live for the first time. They are incredible live and one of the best hard rock bands out there. It's a shame they never got the break in the United States that they deserved. They're great guys too! It was a pleasure to get the opportunity to hang with them.

With some luck, Streetlight Circus will get to Europe and have an opportunity to gig with them.
